Monday Motivation - February 18th

Good morning, good morning!

Luke B here this week, and a big thank you to Luke Mulvihill from our Marylebone clinic for sharing some words last week.

I've got to be honest… I know it’s still early in the year but, at the time of writing this, doesn’t there seem to be a distinct touch of spring about the place!? We've had the four hottest years in recorded history literally in the past four years – a slightly scary reminder that things are indeed changing and the world we grew up in has already changed.

Luke M last week mentioned that eating more vegetarian meals can help make a positive change in reducing out carbon footprint, and it reminded me of Cowspiracy – an absolute must-watch for people interested in how our food choices impact our global environment.

And plastic in the oceans was also mentioned, with really big numbers. A little closer to home, plastic can pose a challenge to our health, especially around our food.  Here's an easy read from choice.com.au outlining some of the potential risks and how to spot the plastics to avoid.

OR you could just use these that look like a great everyday alternative to plastic boxes and cling wrap!

Feeling overcommitted this year already? Here's a great read about how to put yourself first and create healthy boundaries around yourself, your dreams and your time. (Spoiler alert: basically, be kind to yourself, have a plan for when things don't go totally awesomely, and don't watch too much TV.)

Okay, time to put a smile on your face… 🙂 Let me introduce you to the "happiest lady in China" – she has moves that will leave you wondering, "When was the last time I used a hula hoop?"

And for the skiers: this dude has taken night-skiing to the next level!

Have a great week and hold the door open for a stranger!

Big love,

Luke X
