Monday Motivation - March 2nd

Welcome back,

Last weekend I did something that a lot of people think is crazy. My friend and I drove 90 mins south of Edinburgh to Bamburgh - not crazy.Stayed in a lovely hotel, ate a delightful meal and drank a superb claret - still not crazy.

Early to bed, early to rise at 5:30am - hmmm… Running shorts on, rain jacket donned, laces done up tight, improvised breakfast scoffed and back in the car - bit weird.

We parked at Bamburgh Castle and joined the other 200-odd souls who'd decided to spend their Saturday "running" 58km (36 miles) along the Northumberland coast in what can only be described as a howling, angry wind.

Oh, and it's cold. Very cold. Getting a little crazy…

6 hours 40 minutes later we finished. Happy. Definitely a bit crazy, but we loved it!

Is there anything you love doing but others think is crazy? Or perhaps, more importantly, is there something you'd love to do but haven't because you think others will think you're crazy? Here's a secret – it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter for two main reasons:

1) It doesn't matter if they think you're crazy. They're most likely just envious of you for taking a chance.

2) It doesn't matter because most people are too busy worrying about what other people are thinking about them to actually care what other people are actually doing! Now that's crazy.

Which brings me to this week's challenge: Do something or make plans to do something you love, even if it might be a bit crazy. Then let me know what you decide to do and I'll (anonymously) share a few of my faves!

Here are some of my other favourite crazy things that turned out to be awesome:

Space X

Nike recycled trainers

Toy car record player

New York to Sydney... non-stop

Google photo jukebox

Gymnast sets bar backflip record

Peace,
