Clinic Updates

Writing this on a lovely autumnal day with a lovely coffee (from Ground Coffee Society) – what a beautiful week we are having! (Richmond Park amazing RN.)

A little bit of tightening from BoJo but not much new to report on our end. We have been in constant communication with our governing bodies and looks like how we are currently operating is all above board and should be so, moving forward. So yay! As always, any questions or concerns that pop up, whether prior to or during your visit, do let us know and give your clinic a call. Thank you to those who have contacted us, we are really appreciative of you helping us out to ensure we are above board.

Where is everyone?

Putney

  • Bryan is back on Tuesday (and is nearly fully booked for the week, call ASAP if you wanna see him).

  • Ami is not away but her Sundays are fully booked basically till December. If you would like to see her, do let us know and we can add you to a waitlist. If you are booked and need to move, could you do us a huge favour and let us know ASAP so we have time to sneak someone else in? THANK YOU!

Tooting

  • Michael is back after going swimming in October like a madman!

  • Big well done to Matilda and Megan (aka M&M) for a fantastic job looking after Toots while Kate and Pearl were relaxing. (Know you all didn’t need to know that, but I am really pleased for them!)

Fulham

  • Sammy is off next Friday 30th just for the day but may pick up a lil extra time earlier in the week – call Laura for details on 02071128764.

Podcast(s) of the Week

No live chats this week as Craig is spending some quality father-son time in a tipi, but we do have last week’s IGTV chat – and now podcast episode – to check out, featuring ski expert Warren Smith. Definitely worth listening to if you’re hoping to experience ski season 20/21, as the guys chat about preparation and performance, and apparently share a hangover cure or two?!

Shameless Plug(s) of the Week

Love that all our friends in the health and wellbeing industry have been happy to help you keep moving while flogging what they do. It is all SERIOUSLY AWESOME stuff and a big thanks to Team Absolute, Harry Rowland, our Massage Team, Darryl Lampen, Laura Adamson, our refer a friend policy and so much more stuff I can’t even remember.

However… today, on a lovely rainy Wednesday in Putney, I am all about the FUN.

So, my plug of the week is none other than… A Netflix show for a binge.

Do yourself a favour, order in something naughty to eat, or a box of Shapes from 79 Collective, open that nice bottle of wine you have been saving (because if 2020 has taught us anything so far, it is YOLO and you DEFINITELY deserve it!) and strap yourself in for…Cobra Kai.

Yes, I may be a bit late to the party. Yes, it may be topical only for people of a certain ‘vintage’ but this is an absolute banger of a show and a great bit of fun for all ages. Is it well acted? Sort of. Is it well scripted? Kinda. Is the soundtrack epic? Absofreakinglutely in all of its 80’s glory.

So a bit of 80s-style nostalgia and fun is what the non-Dr Drew is prescribing in the year that feels like it’s six years long (or is that just me?!). Yes, there is kicking and stuff, so be careful if you have little ones of a certain age, however the rest is quite G-rated and family-oriented.

Seen Cobra Kai and waiting for the next great show to drop? Stay tuned for updates on my thoughts on the new seasons of The Mandalorian and The Crown in future newsletters (I’m sure you can’t wait!).

P.S. It was DEFINITELY an illegal kick to the face. Disagree? Have your say on our Insta poll.

P.P.S. Speaking of polls, I am extremely worried how many of our social followers like coriander. Rather disturbing.

Ask the Team

Erana Tupaea DC answers your question…

What do you like best about being a chiropractor?

That’s easy! I get to help people every single day! People come to me for all types of issues and if I can play a part in improving somebody's quality of life, then that’s amazing.

As always, keep an eye on our social so we can update you in real time of any news that happens as it develops.

Good news is you can expect a bit less from me going forward as we have the front desk teams taking over the newsletters for November, so look forward to a more local selection of shameless plugs from your clinic faves!

Ciao!

Drew
