Mindful Monday - December 13th
Happy Mindful Monday!
I hope this little note finds you enjoying some festive cheer and looking forward to a mindful end to another memorable year.
Tiny Thought
“What looks like success is often just patience.”

Slow and steady, guys…
Staying focused… on trees
This clever little app, Forest, has big hopes to make an impact on the environment. Open the app and let a tree grow by not fiddling with your phone for as long as need be. Each tree goes towards making your own forest and virtual coins that, when spent, support Trees for the Future, who then plant real trees. Yay for trees!
Way of Giants
This gorgeously constructed animated film, Way of Giants, explores an indigenous girl’s understanding of how she fits into the cycles of life in a big old forest. Beautiful and thought-provoking. No wonder it won lots of awards.
Giving it a Fair Shot
Did you know 93% of young adults with learning disabilities in the UK are unemployed? Well, this lovely cafe in Mayfair, Fair Shot, is changing that. Fair Shot employs and trains young adults with learning disabilities, equipping them with skills to they need to begin a career in hospitality. How great is that!?
The “not-for-profit” actor
Michael Sheen is known to many for his Hollywood acting roles in films such as Good Omens, The Damned United and Frost/Nixon, but more recently he’s becoming known for something else. After bankrolling the Homeless World Cup, he’s since pledged to continue supporting charities saying, “I've essentially turned myself into a social enterprise, a not-for-profit actor.” Bravo Mick, bravo indeed.
Have a wonderful week!
Big love,
Luke
