Monday Motivation - May 15th

Hi guys,Doc Luke here, welcome back to another Monday...Monday, May 15th…my birthday!I hope you enjoy some of these things I’ve been loving recently and have a great week.1. Salt of the Earth DeodorantIs it possible to be “too clean”!?  Strange question, I know, but our microbiomes are under constant strain from many of modern day lifestyle choices including soap, deodorant etc.  Whenever we can reduce our exposure to potentially toxic substances we need to act. This company put out fantastic products that are free from aluminium, not tested on animals etc.(Here’s a great interview with Dr Robynne Chutkan a microbiome expert.)2. Indoor gardenOur apartment has been recently been transformed into a greenhouse as Juli grew a small forest (?!) of tomato trees (plants!?). We’re basically out of space now and took the gamble of moving some outside into the London Spring elements to toughen them up.The jury is still out on whether they’re going to make it but if they don’t this will be our next move...3. History of JapanI recently caught up with an uncle (at Brewdog) who had just visited Japan. He loved it. It reminded me of this short video (9 mins) check it out, it’s brilliant.4. S-Town PodcastI totally binge-listened to this fantastic podcast a couple of weeks ago.  From the makers of Serial and This American Life, it tells a story of life and death in a small town in Alabama.I usually listen to podcasts at 1.5x speed, but this one I enjoyed at normal pace…5. Pocket CastsI use this great podcast app to listen, speed up and organise my listening.  It’s worth the few quid. Thanks for your time,Luke xPS. Our friends at FloFest are still offering a FloVibe Festival discount code. If you like the look of the new FloVibe Festival, a weekend festival/retreat to dip into yoga, dance, pilates, talks, workshops, live music, DJs, lakeside revelry and treatments in the woods - you can get 10% off with the discount code ‘OMYOGA'
