Monday Motivation - January 28th

Hello again, and a big thank you to Ami for last week's email!

So I'm kicking things off this week with the news I'm taking some time out from practice, and I've asked George Ross DC to step in for me at Putney! I'll be spending some time in Edinburgh (the bit north of England) and contemplating my next move. I'd love to see as many of you as I can pre-sabbatical (before February 9th) and introduce you to Doc George, who's basically a slightly younger, taller, more handsome, upgraded version of myself – oh, and he has a great set of hands! You're going to love him. 🙂

At Kew, we’ll have the wonderful Gopal Handa to look after you in my absence. Some of you will have met Gopal already, and I’m super confident you’ll love his kind personality and great adjustments as much as we do!

While I am off recharging the batteries, I will ALWAYS be available via email to answer any questions/concerns you have to ensure you are happy with your care. I would welcome any and all feedback on your time with Docs George and Gopal, so please do reach out with anything I can help with to make sure you continue to feel great.

Right – 2019 is totally happening! This is your year. This is your year to get yourself on track for a healthier, better (and longer) future.

I think UnDo It: How Simple Lifestyle Changes Can Reverse Most Chronic Diseases by Dean and Anne Ornish is probably the most simple (and therefore, best) book to start with if you're looking to make a change but not sure where to begin. Backed up by real science, this book outlines many basic strategies you can immediately apply to make real changes that will add years to your life, and life to your years. You can also hear them here on my fav podcast with Rich Roll.

If, however, you’re looking for something slightly more "aggressive" and want to see dramatic changes, I still highly recommend Tim Ferris' book, The Four Hour Body. This is easily the book I've gifted the most in the past and continue to do so. If followed for a few weeks, expect noticeable changes!

These two books are likely to have you heading in a healthier direction, and feeling more energised, too. But to really crank up the energy factor, this is well worth a read. It outlines what the science says about where energy and happiness come from. Hint: being of service to others. Say what?!

And if you're to be useful to others, you'll need some mad crazy useful ninja skills, like these...

Thanks for reading, we really do appreciate it.Feel free to let me know what you think, and I hope to see you before I finish up :)

Big love
