Monday Motivation - September 16th
Good morning everyone!
We're often asked about exercise and exercises – mainly, should I do some and (if so) which ones?
Well, I like to keep this simple.
The answer is "yes" to the first part. We all benefit from exercising, aka moving our bodies, especially as most of us spend so long sitting. This often leads to: "What's the best exercise?"
I pretty much default to, "Whatever you enjoy doing," because you'll be more likely to keep it up long enough to make it a habit.
Dr John Rately, a psychiatrist, describes how regular exercise is not only good for the body but particularly good for the brain - read this to find out what he thinks is the best exercise (hint: it involves music!).
In terms of specific exercises for a particular health concern or injury, your chiropractor is well suited to direct you. Or for those of you wanting to explore on your own, our exercise videos are a great place to start (starring Craig!).
A service we don’t (currently) provide at Chiro.London is group cuddling, which appears to be taking hold in London (pardon the pun). Benefits of human touch are many and varied, from closer emotional relationships to better performance in sport. Reach out to the team at Togetherness to get involved.
And finally: “Letters to Boys”. Fatherly is posting thoughtful words of advice, kindness and wisdom from great men to growing boys. All are beautiful and worth a read by everyone. Terry Crews offers his heartfelt words in a stunning example here.
Have a great week everyone, and don’t forget to smile!
