Podcast(s) of the Week
Yesterday Craig brought back the live Insta chat, with Co-Founder of Evolve 353 Ashton Turner joining us for a little online tête-à-tête. Since opening in 2016, Evolve has been a firm favourite in the SW London fitness scene, creating a family-like and supportive atmosphere amongst its members. Ash takes us through his experiences in the fitness industry, how Covid-19 has impacted the way they operate, how he’s personally benefited from chiropractic care, and his thoughts on social media influencers!
If you missed it and are keen to check it out, you can do so here on our IGTV, or you can listen to it soon as a podcast on our website, or on Spotify, Apple and Google, too. You'll find a couple of bonus episodes there also – particularly worth checking out if you’re a Whoop user or thinking about becoming one.
Join us next week on Tuesday at 12 noon for another live Insta chat, this time with the champs at Profeet in Fulham, who are the experts when it comes to kitting out your feet for running and skiing. Craig will be taking us on a tour of their premises and showing us the cool tech they use to find the perfect fit. Simply tune in here next week to join in.
Shameless Plug(s) of the Week – Lucy & Tom’s Day Out in Marylebone
Hi, I’m Lucy and you’ll find Tom and I manning the reception desk at The Berkeley Clinic, a multidiscipline clinic and Chiro.London’s home in Marylebone. I’m also currently studying chiropractic at London South Bank University, so hopefully you’ll see me on the other side of the chiro table one day.
Our favourite thing about being chiropractic assistants (although sounding a bit cliché) is meeting all the different people that come into the clinic. It’s especially gratifying to watch them improve their health and wellbeing and serves as a powerful reminder of why having a good chiropractic practice is great for the community. Also, getting free chiro care as a perk isn't too shabby, either!
Whilst both Tom and I prefer to hang out a bit more east/Islington way, we have spent the last few years exploring the local area (namely Tom, with his after-work antics) and now have some firm neighbourhood favourites that we’d recommend visiting when coming to see us.
Morning coffee
We can rely on the guys at Borough Barista to give us that needed caffeine kick! We’re so lucky it’s just around the corner from our clinic, but they also have another location closer to St. James’s, too.
Exercise
If you’re looking for something a bit different on the exercise front, check out the Forgotten Circus. They may be a little further north of Marylebone, but with the joys of today's new world and the current state of affairs, several of their classes are now on zoom. They offer a range of classes, from aerial work to handstand technique, and don't worry – they do cater for beginners!
Lunch/dinner
If you're a sushi lover, head to Sushi Atelier on Great Portland Street. While the restaurant may be currently closed, they’re still offering sushi for collection and delivery via Panzer’s Deli, which is also worth checking out if you’re a bit further north.
Drinks
With pubs and bars closed and the festive season approaching, our wine reserves could probably do with a top up. Philglas & Swiggot aren’t your ordinary bottle shop and have lots of interesting and harder-to-find wines (like Drew’s favourite Aussie reds). They also deliver, too.
Thanks for reading our Thoughtful Thursday takeover! Stay safe everyone, and even if you’re not coming in to see us soon remember we’re only a phone call away.

Ask the Team
Katie Chimes DC answers your question…
Can chiropractic be beneficial for arthritis?
There are all kinds of different forms of arthritis. One of the most common, that is not of the inflammatory variety, is osteoarthritis. This is a fancy name for stiffening and narrowing of the joint spaces caused by wear and tear. A lot of people have chiropractic care to help restore movement within their spine and joints and reduce stiffness, so in this case, yes, chiropractic care can be beneficial if you have osteoarthritis.
Thanks to all the front desk teams for their tips! Hope you all found them useful. Next few weeks we’ll have some tips, pods and plugs from local health and fitness providers, so keep an eye out for those.
Until then, stay safe, stay warm and don’t buy too much stuff you don’t need in the sales!
