Thoughtful Thursday - January 14th
Welcome to another Thursday’s worth of updates, learning and PODCASTS!
Clinic Updates
We remain open to help you all and will continue to do our part to ease the burden on the legends at the NHS for patients with Musculo-Skeletal complaints.
We have tucked away some staff at home to reduce traffic in the clinics, which I hope has not hindered your experience in clinic. Any feedback on this, please do get in touch – good or bad. We can't improve your experience if we don't know, particularly if you have any concerns regarding your safety in clinic.
Once again, thank you for your support, and please do try and support independent business as much as you can. Your local café would love to drop off a coffee and a croissant, an indy fitness company would love to have you at an online class, or maybe you could get around to leaving a nice message in a review for a company you love but haven’t thanked yet?
Speaking of… reviews we’ve received lately have provided a much-needed boost, and we’d like to thank those of you who took the time to give us some feedback and a pat on the back for our team.
If you would like to say thanks to your clinic, you can review them by clicking on your clinic:

Our latest podcast
Mike McBean, one of our amazing Fulham chiros and one-half of the Lions of Chiropractic, was next in Craig's hot seat for the podcast. Interesting story from the Saffa and his journey into chiropractic.
Well worth a listen! Check it out here.
For our three loyal listeners – keep an eye (or ear...) out for some interesting new guests coming up. Exciting times ahead for London’s self-proclaimed number one chiropractic podcast!
Vertebra of The Week
We continue our tour of your spine with Michael‘s Vertebra of the Week…First person to reply to me with a rundown of what they learnt in last week’s Vertebra of the Week gets their next adjustment on me!
C2 Axis
Axis is the name for the second vertebra, because it helps allow the rotation in the top of your neck when you shake your head to say ‘no’.C2 has a specially formed body to accommodate C1 on top, thereafter all the cervical vertebrae look similar in appearance. All the nerves exiting from this area will go to the face and supply the sinuses, the eyes (optic nerves) and the ears (auditory nerves).
Can you imagine what happens if your C2 nerve is not functioning as it should? And what happens if it has been not been functioning well since birth? A lot of pressure, especially on the top of the neck, is applied when a baby is delivered (naturally but also when assisted), which is why we suggest for newborns to come in for a check when mum’s ready.
The nerves exiting here can cause the following if they do not fully function: sinus trouble, allergies, pain around the eyes, earache, fainting spells, crossed eyes, very super rare cases of blindness, and even deafness.
Shameless Plug of the Week
I have just remembered that I forgot to turn off the promo for the block of 12 sessions at our cheapest rate on the webshop, so well done if you’ve already taken advantage of my forgetfulness. Will turn it off before I finish late afternoon today (Thursday) so it will be your last chance to snag a bargain!
If you are looking to save some January pennies or are just an amazing human being/genius, don't forget our refer a friend offer. 50% off a first visit for them and 50% off your next crack for you.
I don't have a lot to sign off with as Luke actually nicked most of what I wanted to say in his newsletter on Monday!
That’s all from me till next week and please do feel free to quiz our front desk team on the Vertebra of the Week to check they have been doing their homework for me please. (Megan from Tooting and Lucy from Marylebone/Putney are the only ones to get Gold Stars this week!)
Look after yourselves, pretty please!
