Hormone harmony and happy autumn days

As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, it's the perfect time to focus on creating balance within. And that's not just about spinal alignment – it's about hormonal harmony too! ✨

Let's talk about how to give your hormones some TLC this autumn.

We all know how important sleep is, but did you know it's crucial for hormonal balance?  Here are a few simple tweaks to improve your sleep (and your mood!):

Reset Your Body Clock
Morning Sunshine: Get some bright light first thing in the morning to kickstart your day.
Evening Calm: Dim the lights and ditch the screens at least an hour before bed. (Blue light can really mess with your sleep!)
Sleep Sanctuary: Make sure your bedroom is cool, dark, and quiet.
Consistent Routine: Try to wake up and go to bed around the same time each day.
Caffeine Curfew: Avoid caffeine after midday.
Don't Force It: If you can't sleep, get out of bed and do something relaxing until you feel sleepy.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
Water Works: Aim for at least 2 litres of water a day to help your body detox and function optimally.
Brainpower: Your brain is mostly water, so staying hydrated helps with brain function (and that includes hormone balance!).
Morning Boost: Start your day with a tall glass of water with lemon and sea salt, or an electrolyte drink.
Skip the Fizz: Unfortunately, caffeinated and fizzy drinks don't count towards your water intake.

Prioritise Sleep
Rest and Recharge: Aim for 8 hours of quality sleep each night. (Ladies, we might even need 8-10!)
Bedtime Ritual: Create a relaxing bedtime routine to wind down.
Magnesium Magic: Consider a magnesium supplement to help activate your "rest and digest" nervous system.
Midnight Snack Attack? If you wake up between 2-4am, try having a high-protein snack to help stabilise your blood sugar before bed.

Stress Less: Manage stress with meditation, reading, or a warm bath with Epsom salts.

Need a little extra support? Here are a few things to add to your shopping list:

Electrolytes: For hydration and a boost of magnesium.
Lumie Light: To help regulate your circadian rhythm.
Blue Light Glasses: To protect your eyes from those pesky screens.

Remember, taking care of your hormonal health is a journey, not a destination. Small changes can make a big difference!
