Thoughtful Thursday - March 11th
Another week flying by! Just over 100 days until June 21st and everything will be normal… apparently. But first: there’s a couple of days off for our practitioners here and there coming up, Craig chats all things on the x-ray front, Michael talks about T2 (not the tea!) and we have a shameless plug to put a smile on a child’s face.
Clinic Updates
Fulham – Sammy is off for the day next Friday 19th.
Marylebone – Luke is off for the day on Friday 26th.
We will have confirmation of Easter hours in next week’s edition.
Rescheduling/Cancellation policy: Sorry to be this guy, but we have had a few too many people not turning up and/or cancelling at the last minute lately. While we try to be as understanding as possible and judge each case on its merit, we are also having to turn people away who could have used your slot. So a reminder that all we ask for is 24 hours’ notice as a courtesy to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Thank you.
Podcast of the Week
This week’s Chiro.London Pod, proudly fuelled by Ground Coffee Society, features our radiologist Dr Sarah Burnett joining Craig for a chat about all things x-ray, and a little MRI action, too. It’s a bit of a change of pace from our other recent episodes, but I think you’ll find it’s a pretty interesting subject to chat about.
You can check it out on our website, or on Spotify, Apple and Google, too.
Vertebra of the Week
In this week’s edition of Michael’s tour of your spine, we get better acquainted with the thoracic region. And what to offer this week as a prize… hmmm... first one back to me with what Michael talked about in last week’s email will win an official Chiro.London beanie! (And we promise – no cat hair.)
T2
Take two! No, please do!
Now your heart is one of the most important parts of your body – period. Everyone wants their heart to be happy and healthy in every way. But if the nerves lacing out at T2 are compromised, this could potentially cause some trouble as they instruct the heart on how to function and behave.
The aforementioned nerves are associated with the heart valves, the covering layer of the heart and its coronary arteries. Problems with these nerves can lead to functional heart conditions, such as heart and chest problems.
Shameless Plug of the Week
This week’s plug comes from a client of our Putney clinic, Tonia, who is looking for help sending smiles to Zambia!
Hi all, I am a local mother who welcomed a third baby in September. Like many I needed to “clear out” and decided to do something different with my items as the charity shops are closed.
I identified a shipping company and have arranged to ship and distribute these items to those in need in Lusaka and Mongu in Zambia!
It started as a small fun project for my children and I but using the NextDoor app, I have been able to greatly increase the amount of people we can bless in beautiful Zambia!
Due to the amazing support and volume of donations, I have started a GoFundMe project to cover the cost of shipping some additional barrels – and also plan to sponsor the meals for an orphanage for a year!
Any donations to our GoFundMe would be extremely welcome. While we are still accepting donations of clothing, covering the cost of shipping everything donated so far is what we really need for now.
If any local children would like to draw pictures to send to Zambian children, that would also be welcome. Any enquiries, you can get in touch with me at the GoFundMe page.
What a great way to be sustainable – and help others in need! Take care of yourselves and see you again next week, same time, same place.
