Monday Motivation - April 15th

Good morning, happy Monday and happy spring break to those of you off with the little ones!

This is a light and easy one for y’all, I hope you enjoy. :)

How (and why) to get into a morning run routine: Yeah, I know it’s not everyone’s cuppa but it’s not necessarily as bad as it sounds and definitely not as hard as most think. Find out how here (it’s an eight-minute read) or just lay out your kit the night before, set the alarm, and go for it!

Raising great kids - no bigger challenge and nothing more rewarding (I’m reliably informed…): The Awakened Family: How to Raise Empowered, Resilient and Conscious Children by Dr Shefali Tsabary has been repeatedly recommended to me by parents who have found it very useful and inspiring (slightly more than an eight-minute read).

Nonviolent Communication: What?! Yep, it’s a thing. It’s a term that attempts to encapsulate mindfulness around important interactions and situations and how to communicate more effectively. It’s become a bit of a buzzword in Silicon Valley so you can probably expect it to filter down to us soon. Feel free to get ahead of it here (nine-minute read – but you can probably nail it in 7.5!).

Good foods for us that are also good for the planet: You guessed it – plants. Here are 50. You’re welcome.

Big love,

Luke X
